Kat's New Lexus! Yippee!

I finally got it!

I've been waiting for a year to trade in my 1999 Maxima for a new Lexus!

Talk about setting intentions...I had a photo of my new car on my Dream Board in my office PLUS I downloaded a Lexus screensaver for my computer so I saw it every day - all year long! I told everyone I knew and talked to that I would have it by the end of this year but I had to wait for my dad's condo to sell so I could pay cash....all of this together helped in me achieving my goal I believe.

Here I am at my friend's house since I still didn't have a very good photo of it yet. Boy do I need a new camera!

It was dark when I got it but this is me the night I got it.

And this is me and my salesperson Michelle Lindsey at Carmax in Roseville, CA. She is awesome by the way. She searched the country for my car and then followed right up when she had the one I wanted - I know she can work with anyone anywhere since Carmax is all over the country so I highly recommend calling her if you want to find a certain new car for yourself!!

Holidays with Family - Cheers!

Thanksgiving is always a great time to say thanks to our business associates but also to our family of course. I hope you had a very nice holiday and THANK YOU for your continued readership, following, comments, praise and participation for everything I do.

Rather Than Just IN It - LEARNING!

In November and December my Teleclasses will cover "What to do when business is slow: How to work ON your business rather than just IN it". So, I want to give you a few resources and tips in the next few weeks on things you can do to keep learning - because an entrepreneur that keeps learning will implement new practices and strategies to be more successful and free, one who doesn't simply has a JOB.

This week I want to share my recommendations for books to read for the small business owner and entrepreneur. I've listed them here based on where you would be in your business at the time.

They say that 'Millionaires' read a ton of books, some even one a week because they know that 'knowledge is power'.

I have to admit, I haven't gotten to that level yet, I still only read a few a year (and really prefer them on CD to listen to). However, I also go to numerous workshops, seminars to learn in person and I subscribe to multiple email newsletters which give tips on things that are in the books that I want to read. I find that short emails are easier to read and retain sometimes so it's good that you read my ezines because I do bring you a lot of this type of stuff quickly and easily that you should be able to digest.

But Kat, why do you keep suggesting we need to think like Millionaires??
"Duh!" I say, that's my vision and goal, isn't it yours???

Well, it would be nice but why is making millions so important to you?

"That's a good question".

My goal is to be totally and completely free from worry about making money so that I can do greater things, give back more and really make a difference in the lives of people I come in contact with (online or in person). Most of you know I'm an extremely giving person already but imagine what I could do if I didn't ever have to worry about making another sale again??

Ok so for the next four weeks I'm trimming down the content in my ezine because what I'm going to talk about in my Feature Articles these 4 weeks are so extremely important, I don't want to distract you with any other information (except the What's Up With Kat info of course!). I'm doing this because this is the ONE THING I see ALL my clients not doing enough of in their businesses and if they just spent more time with each month they would catapult their business and success for sure!

It's Zeke's 9th Birthday!!

This is my Zekey...he's 9 years old today!

Isn't he the cutest German Shepherd you've ever seen?? ;-)

This is Zeke after I forced on the birthday hat AND right after I pulled out the big bone I was giving him....he wanted it right now....just like his mom.


Then snapping the photos become quite tough. I figured he'd 'sit' for me to take a nice shot but nope, not after he saw the bone....

Then once it became his possession....he quickly tried to escape - but I had a hold of him for one quick shot....hee hee.

Then I gave up and let him go at it...what can you do??

What Do Attending All These Workshops and Seminars Do for Me?

So many people often ask me:


“Why do you go to so many workshops and seminars?”

“What does it really do for you?”

'They' say that you are like (or will become like) the 5 people you hang around most often. So I choose to hang out with highly successful people who are making millions of dollars each year and who have huge drive and vision to move themselves forward by leaps and bounds while teaching and training others to do the same along the way.



Which 5 people do you hang around most often with?

Where are they going?

Do they bring you down or boost you up?


It’s scary to think that I was actually afraid to come home after this last trip. I surrounded myself with such HUGE THINKERS AND DOERS for a week now that I didn’t want to break the cycle.


Playing and networking and brainstorming with people who have similar goals, who play a big game and have a big vision can really change your life. I didn’t want to let anyone else back into my life who didn’t think that way.

I thought I’d have to go home to my house and my dog and be alone to get all the stuff done and to put all the big planning I wanted to do in place without contact from friends, peers and family.

No offense to anyone of course (I love you all) but it does take a lot of energy to explain what I’ve been doing to get some of you up to speed and that takes a lot of effort frankly, it’s really hard for me to recap and reiterate what I’ve been through and what I’ve learned and where I’m going now – does anyone else ever feel like that?

I just FEEL IT.


I’ve experienced it, I’ve emersed myself in it and I can teach others it but it’s hard to describe where I am – I just AM.

Plus - when you go more often and you plan or do speak yourself, it's good to see how others interact and present on stage as well as to see their techniques for selling their products and services from the stage to the audience - it's really eye opening for this alone.

Upleveling my business:

I’ve really decided I want my freedom. My freedom to work on new products and programs, connections with others around the world, networking and connecting with powerful people, leveraging all I have to offer and give with everyone that I know, upleveling my business and myself to the largest and best it and I can be, speaking and reaching thousands upon thousands of women entrepreneurs to let them know that it’s simple, fun and they can have it all too.

I know now that this IS POSSIBLE because I’ve made the decision to have it. David Neagle said this weekend that IT will come to you when you MAKE THE DECISION. Many of us are just afraid to MAKE THE DECISION. So I challenge you to simply, make the decision to do SOMETHING – not knowing even HOW it will happen – and the HOW will show itself to you but only after to DECIDE IT.

Basically I want more so that I can give more. And then when I get more, I want even more so I can give even more. I have an intuitive feeling inside that “IT” will come; there is something great that I am destined to do and “IT” is coming very soon….

I'm Going to Disneyland!


Last Monday (Mondays are great for this - no lines!) my friend Beth and I went to Disneyland for the day (since I was in LA already for two business workshops). Yes that is her with her mouse ears on - she wore them all day - that's my kinda gal - no fear and a kid at heart!


Beth is a 'systems' gal so the marketing tip for this day was how well run Disneyland was. Beth noticed systems in everything in that park and I must say I was also quite impressed.
I also talk about setting up systems with my clients, but more relationship marketing (or drip marketing) systems - what and how to send stuff to build those relationships (kind of like this blog!).
Beth gets much more detailed with her systems. In fact I recently hired her too to help me better delegate stuff to my Virtual Assistants and vendors so we could be more efficient and get more stuff done; she's great. Beth's website in fact is ProcessProdigy.com.

A Friend's Special Day

Anyone out there know a fabulous speaker named Kathleen Ronald???

I do.....she's a hoot!


Just to express to you the POWER OF NETWORKING, let me tell you she and I met at the Women on the Move Conference that I helped promote and attended here in Sac on September 28th.


She had the most hilarious talk about networking ever!

I told her that night that I was a mini her and that we had the exact same personality, only a 'few' years apart. She said, "ah huh, that's nice" and I think she thought I was nuts but I was so jazzed to meet her....you know like when you meet someone and you totally 'get' the connection (they might not but you do for sure!).

So we chatted during the event and realized that I could help her figure out how to take her website to the next level and she could help me take my speaking to the next level - so we decided to do a trade! Then the fun begins....

Because our schedules are both hectic we set up some phone coaching for both of us to do 'our magic' on one another....I've given her a ton of info now for her website that she can take to her designer or of course I gave her some referrals as well and we're set to talk about me in the next week.




But the funny part is that it was Kathleen's Birthday (I won't tell you how many candles...) in October and she was having a big party on November 4th. Now since I was going down to L.A. (she lives in the LA area) for Ali Brown's workshop from the 7th to the 11th anyway, I figured, what the heck - I'll go down early and go to her birthday party! (Knowing that you never know which connections can lead to others - and I just had a feeling that I needed to be there.)


So, here's Kathleen's cake - the Birthday Cake Inferno as I like to call it in this shot (my camera takes dark photos frankly because I have no idea how to lighten it).....it was pretty elaborate with a tiara on top, banner, feathers and some high heeled dress up shoes to boot!

So, not only did I come down from Northern California only ONE month after meeting Kathleen but so did one of my other clients who knows Kathleen AND another gal I met at a Sacramento eWomenNetwork event who lives in San Jose (2 hours away)!
This is such a small world and it's so easy to make yourself known, get out there, meet and network with a ton of people and every day you close the gap on your connections and your circle of influence gets larger and larger and larger - it's an awesome way to do business really.

Traveling Without Your Pets


Wow! What a week. I know I've been traveling so much lately and frankly I can't wait to just be home for a while - just me and Zeke.
I hope Zeke doesn't think I don't love him since he's spent more time at the pet sitter in the last three weeks than at home with me. I hate leaving him; I feel so guilty!
At least I totally LOVE my pet sitter Chris in Folsom. She always treats Zeke like part of the family and there's always 4-7 other dogs for him to socialize with and keep him busy so hopefully time goes by much faster that way for him.

Recently, a few of my friend's cats and dogs have passed away and two out of three of them have consulted with pet psychics so they could connect with their pets afterwards. I found this fascinating that they would do that AND with what they all found out about their pets thoughts. It makes me want to seek out a pet psychic myself now just to see what Zeke is thinking sometimes and to communicate with him but I have no idea if they can do the same thing with pets who are still alive or not? Hmmmm....
