Cancer check – what to do before age 40?
So remember I was going to go into Kaiser (the medical carrier I have here) and raise bloody hell if they didn't give me a mamogram (at age 38, they wanted me to wait until I was 40)? Well they agreed when I went in thank goodness I didn't have to use my 'big girl' voice! ;0)
I haven't heard back so hopefully that's a 'good sign' so far. With all the friends around me being diagnosed, I didn't want to risk waiting and it didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would either thank goodness - I'm not good with pain!
If you have any cancer resources you should comment on this posting so others will see them!

Good for you Kat! Being your own advocate! I don't think my first post went through, so if this is a duplicate, I apologize in advance!
I actaully created Caregivers group 5 years ago when my first husband was going through treatment: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Cancercaregiversrus/
It is a great resource for those who are caring for, or are on the journey with others.
I also love Caringbridge.org. In our technology age, it seems to be overshadowed by Facebook and Myspace, but it is a place for Cancer Patients to record their journey and share it with their friends and family online.
There are so many great resources out there and locally, Sacramento is over-flowing!
