"What's Your Why?", part 1

My friend Lisa Crisalle asks this of all her new clients, she's a lifestyle transformation coach (fitness, nutrition and more). It makes sense for this reason of course, why would someone want to take on a new weight loss program, etc. but...

Why are you in business for yourself? (Or why aren't you yet, if that's the question?)

Why are you doing what you're doing?

Is it for your desires, passions, purpose or to serve others, help people, give your gifts or is it simply to make money? All of these answers are good answers.

But what gets you out of bed in the morning with excitement?

Is it what you're doing now or do you find yourself hating what you're doing? (or what you've got yourself into that is?)

Our WHY is actually one of the most important reasons we should be in business.

Yes, of course we want to make money and for many of us that may drive us to some extent. (and making money very well should be the #1 priority in your business when you do start one or when you restructure your current one)

However, the WHY is what truly drives our creative juices, passions and purpose and what ultimately makes YOU a happy person able to enjoy your life to the fullest extent.

I've found over the last few years in coaching all kinds of entrepreneurs - new and seasoned, that many of them aren't completely HAPPY when they first come to me (but we fix that!). They don't typically jump out of bed each day with excitement in what it holds and how they're driven to do more, learn more and be more.
